This question has simple answer really.
Feminine girls (or as you put it girly-girls) are brought up by parents, media and other influences to not be manly or aggressive physically in any way, so they are left frustrated and need some sort of way to take out that anger.
They are upset inside themselves and do not have a healthy way to release anger/stress so they are aggressive in means where they aren't acting manly or no one (they think) can see they are being mean.
To put it simply, Boys are brought up to be rough, Girls are brought up to be nice, so they are aggressive under the covers.

I tend to agree with you, on the basis that these girls who are overly into their image and shopping/make up, are insecure because they base their worth purely upon how they look. They have inferiority complexes for one. They do not love or know themselves. They are basically mental cases walking around up and down however they look that day to themselves determines how they feel. Just stop trying to date the "hottest" girl, find a girl who is attractive but also seems to have some depth. If you only seek out looks chances are you will find shallow boring backstabbing insecure girls with inferiority complexes.

Well, if they have to work, then they're not really all that. This reminds me of the movie "Mean Girls". It's pretty funny. I think it's because some girls have insecurity issues.
