I heard throwing a tennis ball in the washing machine with it will help make sure the feathers are even. Any other tips on how to wash it? Also, how do I dry it? I'm thinking hang to dry.
The tennis ball trick is actually for the dryer. The bouncing tennis balls fluff the down back up, and make it look puffy again, instead of flat.
Cold wash, AIR dry. (Don't turn on heat in the dryer. Use the AIR dry setting.)

I would take some detergent, warm water, a rag, and a bucket and manually wash it to ensure that the washing machine didnt damage it.
I would try the gentlest cycle on the washing machine if the tag on the jacket says you can do so. Then put some tennis balls in with it in the dryer on delicate, agian if the jacket tag says you can. If it doesn't, listen to everybody else. Dry clean only.

DO NOT wash it in your washing machine. if it's real down it will be ruined in the washer
Maybe you should take it to the dry cleaners and have it cleaned.
read the directions on the label, it should tell you how to do it. most likely you have to have it dry cleaned
