I will be living in Germany (just outside Berlin) for the next 10
months. I wish to watch the NFL either on TV or via the internet. I
need information to accomplish this task.
We are in Buchholz, former East Germany. It is a small community of
180 people East of the city. Our home currently has a satellite dish
with no box. There is no cable access in this village. Berlin center
is a 35 minute drive, provided that traffic is good. I don't know of
any American communities yet. I have asked if there is a military base
close by, everyone has said no. They do reference the American
Embassy. My preference would be to purchase a reciever and service if
that is possible. Direct TV has indicated international service, but I
can't find out whether they have a branch here in Germany.
Dear habitated,
Where, "just outside Berlin"?
Some places have DSL/Cable access, some don't; Some have cable TV,
some don't; Some are close enough to the huge American community in
Berlin.
I could probably find several possibilities for you: -
(1) Pubs in Berlin (or Brandenburg, if really lucky - places like
Potsdam or Frankfurt/O) that show NFL games
(2) TV/Cable that shows NFL and available in your area.
(3) And of course, the enquire the possibility to watch it over the
Internet.
