I think it is amazing the government just announced the recession today. Another example of the American people trying to tell this to the gov. Strange how the little people of our country could see this but not the government. What the h*ll else doesn't the gov know?
It takes a while to gather, calculate and analyze the data.
Remember, this is not anecdotal stuff, but serious statistical science. It took until now to "officially" proclaim we are in a recession. And in this case, "recession" has a strict and detailed definition.
It will probably take just as long after it ends for them to proclaim the recession is over.
I so understand you 100%. Today my mom and I were just sitting on the couch and on FOX 5, the guy says: BREAKING NEWS: AMERICA IS OFFICIALLY IN A RECESSION.
We just stared at each other in confusion because we were kind of like, "Uh, okay...and we've known this for how long?"
I think that the news stations and media are trying to make us paranoid and it can give them an excuse/reason to tax us more and take our money for no reason. My best bet for Americans is to simply save your money wisely, live within your means right now, and when the recession is over, we can go back to having fun, but we will be smarter with our money.
