could anyone explain what the logic is for setting the list mode (icon vs list vs large icon). i'm not sure if its a bug or if i'm misunderstanding the feature. in 'my videos' if i set the mode, it seems to stick for all folders/subfolders. however in 'my music' every time i change a folder it seems to pop back to list mode.

i was thinking about helping, but i read somewhere that there is a manual already out there but written in german. wouldn't a translation be the best start? (i couldn't help there).

Hard time with hard return.:: In the "Pick formatting to apply" list, right-click Normal and choose Modify. manually modify the indent in any paragraph by dragging the ruler icon. http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/513028.htmlHOME | My website homepage looks funny:: List Price: $10.00, Posted: 15 Sep 2003 21:55 PDT . and chances are if I forced him to view the icons in a larger/smaller format he wouldn't like it. http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=257183HOME |

i'd be willing to help but i'm only probably using about 50-60% the functionality of xbmc.

i already thought about a wiki since it is a lot of work to write and maintain the manual for a few authors.
but i am kinda scared by an open wiki (everybody can mess it up) http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/forums/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
my music has a separate setting (in the settings menu) to allow it to auto-switch based on whether there are thumbs for the folders or not.
my videos does not have this.
but thats the point (everyone can mess with it). you'll have (hopefully) lots of contributions. often a project may have a wiki site as well as a downloadable manual. the wiki could just serve as a starting point. i've used a couple of wiki's and all the ones i know of have page ownership/acl's as well as revision control.
