What a nice aircraft! Must have just come back from the wash. It's nice and clean. Two other Lei'd AC were in the N concourse this morning. Looks like a few AC got lucky! :-:

The picture below shows the tail of N577 taken from the second floor of AS's Boardroom on Saturday morning the 22nd of September, '07. What's just as interesting is the hustle of activity for the morning. Inbound and takeoff activity were brisk. I was connecting from Calgary for home (only to repeat the trip again in two days!) :D

and minimal service. ;)
What do you mean? I just flew their PDX-BOS and in the main cabin we were offered their Northern Bites (meal for purchase), 3 beverage carts plus water and coffee service for a transcontinental flight.
I think that's what will be offered on their Hawai'i flights???
The AS service in the Main Cabin is better than what we got on NW PDX to/from HNL this past June when we were offered less service in their coach cabin.
Anyway...it will be great to be on an Alaska plane to Hawai'i!
hawaii here we come! for at least 50 pax on each flight for the first several months, enjoy that cramped middle seat, no IFE, and minimal service. ;)
My NW flight SEA to HNL last year had minimal services, and crappy BOB food. So I look forward to having better services by AS on this popular route.

The Hawaii flights are also supposed to get complimentary mai tais and guava juice in Y as well as a hawaiian themed BOB menu.

That's correct. So, basically, airplanegeeks's complaint would be better aimed at any other airline flying from the west coast to Hawaii as most offer less palatable buy on board food, less entertainment options, nothing on board to indicate that you are headed to Hawaii (Mai-Tai's, POG, etc.) and more middle seats from which to be assigned.

Lets see....I paid $320 for not one but TWO tickets. I'll have the middle seat on one of them and I'll have my own portable DVD player...(its amazing some of the crap that gets programmed by airlines as inflight "entertainment" these days).
You bet I'm going to enjoy it.
