A multi-tool could work. They come with all kinds of openers and some are extremely sharp. Or use a switchblade like Switchblade Sam in the Dennis the Menace movie. Lol.
Well if you've got a knife, you put the knife where the blade of the can opener would go and just keep going around hitting the top of the knife. ( :
A lot of cans nowadays come with a pull tab,make sure the can you grab has one.If you're in a store,grab a can opener on way out.

take a very shark knife and cut the edges
use a car key you don't mind possibly ruining and a rock...Try poking holes along the edge on the top
pop it in a microwave if u can find one!!!!! lolz!!!
I would use a knife. My Grandmother never owned a can opener in her life. She always opened cans with her large butcher knife.
