YES it is. I am from the dominican republic and I live in Texas now. Everything is so cheap and beautiful. Just don't drink water from the sink and have all the meat and veggies well cooked. Resorts: Any from the Barceló, Iberostar, Paradisus, Coral, etc. Best beaches: Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, La Romana, Bahia de las Aguilas. Best Resort in the Island and the Caribbean: Casa de Campo & Altos de Chavon.

Yes i go every year, i love the place it is a beautiful country. I would recommend puerto plata in maybe costa dorada, its a gated community with a few different resorts. Then i would reccomend Grand Oasis Marien hotel. It is the best!! I love it, great food, entertainment, sports bar open 24 7 for the disco etc! Been there 3 times now and will continue to go as we have never been dissappointed.
Check the reviews on trip advisor, people pretty much agree.

Punta Cana has amazing beaches but there is not much else to do there.
If you are going for spring break and you want to party and try different clubs every night, don't go there.
It's more of a relaxing place...I loved it because I went to relax but I would not go there to party with bunch of friends.

NOOOOO. Not for spring break. There is nothing to do and you can't really go bar hopping. It's a Beautiful place with Great beaches but I wouldn't dare go there for spring break. If you like Spring break in Mexico or Panama city then for sure NO.
