Does the department of child support stop taking the NCP federal/state taxes when the children are of age? My Ex owes me about $30,000 and the DCSS (ca) says they can't take his taxes. Is this true? Please help, Thanks!!
The offsets stop when the debt is paid, regardless of the ages of the children. I have a good friend whose kids are nearing 30 and she's still getting her ex's tax refunds. With the amount that he owes, she'll still be collecting his refunds when her kids are in their 50s. Personal Taxes::
