How Technology Can Help Alleviate Economic Fears:: Oct 8, 2008 You don’t have to leave your couch to network with and meet the people . It also implies that there’s actions you can take to make your http://mashable.com/2008/10/08/leadership-fear-technology-economy/HOME | I am in the National guard but am on active duty for BOLC II and BOLC III training. BOLC II ends this friday for me but BOLC III doesn't start until Nov 17, the thing is they cut my orders so that they start the day after I graduate here. They told us that if we wanted to go home in between these two training's we could take leave however I only have 4 days accrued because I am in the guard and only earn leave while on training status. Someone said I could take more leave then I had and just go in the hole, in which case they would just with-hold leave until I make it up or take it out of my last paycheck, has anyone heard of anything like that before?
yes i have heard of this before.my bf is actually going in the hole 5 days.he is just going to make it up.he is active duty though and gets 2.5 days per month so he will make it up in 2 months.i would just ask your sgt.
Yes people take advance leave and go into the hole, all the time.
Vacation 'Denied' due to another nurse's medical leave: Fair or :: 10 posts - Last post: Feb 5, 2008It is usual for most nurses to take more than one vacation . They would have to get help then and should in this situation as well. http://allnurses.com/general-nursing-discussion/vacation-denied-due-279995.htmlHOME |
It is pretty common.
Never heard of a guardsmen doing it though.
More than likely, they just wouln't count those extra days you are gone, as active service time, so you would not be paid for them, since your a guardsmen.
Check with your BOLC instructor. Every school is different on what they allow (example: BCT allows this yet ANCOC would never allow it) some will allow you to go in the hole and others won't. If you go in the hole they just won't let you take leave again until your not in the hole anymore. Unless it's a guard thing they don't take money from you to cover leave time even when you go in the hole.
I have heard of it and no of people who did it. I never had to do it for myself though, but its does happen. Good Luck. Sir
Why don't you ask your CO not a bunch of strangers on here that could care less if you got into trouble. Play it safe and ask someone that really knows in your unit.
Since it would need to be approved by your CO, it would be best to ask him/her. Only they know what their rules are.
