Seems like it's impossible to get a run out of DTW on NW...what gives? Is it a DTW or NW thing..?
There are some opportunities available right now. While it isn't the best they have ever been, have you considered any of the following:
From DTW to DEN $158 or LAX $198
TOL/DTW-MKE $154 to connect to the PHX specials posted
TOL-ATL $128
TOL-NYC $104 (to connect to LAS runs posted)
(good until Apr28)
A lot of southern cities on sales <$200 can be made into 8 segment trips by routing through BNA, IND, MEM
eg. TOL-DTW-BNA-MEM-ATL-MEM-IND-DTW-TOL
While these are not the best runs ever, if you can find routes to the west coast for <$200 like LAX, with turbo-miles, elite bonus, online booking etc. you can net up to 20000 miles.
Just my two cents.
Any runs for DL out of CVG. I know that SDF has good deals but a bit of a hassle to get to.
All I know is that mileage runs out of DFW on AA seem to be fairly easy to come by....

CVG-RDU $99
RDU-BOS $79
BOS-LAS $128
LAS-NYC $138, LAS-MIA $128, MIA-PHX $128
Conversely, if you left out of Columbus:
CMH-PHX $218
PHX-MKE $128, PHX-MIA $128
MKE-LAS $128, LAS-MIA $128
So, being creative:
combine CMH-PHX, PHX-MKE, MKE-LAS, LAS-MIA and back again. The segments with DL hubs could be very plentiful! Enjoy!
Thanks for above...Looks like I'll have to be creative and get to other departure cities. But having TOL and FNT as other options helps!
