as much as night life is a good thing..but i wouldnt want to stay somewhere which is too crowded+noisy especially at night.. My Travel Story:: I seriously felt that I was treated like a fool, or not better than a primary because we had to stay in the bus that sandwiched between the vehicles that was http://yming33travel.blogspot.comHOME |
my friend recommended me the Hard Rock Hotel(good location) and i read about a few other nice hotels from tripadvisor such as Hotel Puri Raja, Alam Kul Kul Boutique Resort and O-CE-N Bali(this is a new hotel..)
so can anyone pls advise??it'd be great !!!!!
Let me make it simple. Legian is in Kuta area, so I prefer you to stay at hotels that are located just across the street from Kuta Beach, then you can either find a cab or walk to Legian where you find many great clubs. Big hotels like Hard Rock are not noisy at night, even if you are close with a resto/bar that plays loud music at nights. There is actually one great resto/bar in front of Kuta Beach that plays loud music at night but once youre inside the htoel, you wont hear any of this. so staying at Kuta is better, Legian is a lil more expensive
If you wanna stay at much quieter place compared to Kuta and Legian, I'd suggest Sanur. It's a nice area, it's got a nice beach and it's not so far from Kuta and Legian (where the night clubs are).
Hard Rock is OK, it's right in front of Kuta beach so it's very strategic for tourists cos it's got everything you would need while you visit Bali (shopping, good food, rented cars/motorbikes, travel agents).
Have a good trip!
sanur, legian, tanah lot, kuta
have a nice trip
I'd stay at O-CE-N outrigger its absolutely beautiful! only drawback is that its very western so you really do feel like you are anywhere in the world. its in a great location, the beach in front has a very good atmosphere, you can make lots of new friends and its really nice to swim there. It's less aussie dominated than kuta. hard rock to me is a **** location, too busy, puri raja is really nice more gardens etc, also on the beach, alam kul kul is nice but the location (in my opinion) isnt too great, you need to walk across the busy main street to get to the beach. The good thing about the outrigger is that its a good mix of people that stay there, all ages. the pool is amazing too. I'd be choosing between the puri raja and o c en. it all depends on budget!
Those are good hotels but Hard Rock hotel more strategic go to somewhere.
Cheers
First, Legian is a part of Kuta area.
Yes, there are many of nite clubs along Legian street, so therefore if u don't want to stay there, you better stay at Jl. Pantai (Pantai street is located in front of Kuta beach), there are many hotels there, such as: Hard Rock Hotel, Mercure Hotel, Harris Hotel, Alam Kul Kul Hotel, Inna Kuta Beach, and some other more.
Just for a suggestion, Hard Rock hotel is one of many good hotels in Bali, but it provides 'modern living' hotel, i personally would prefer 'Balinese culture' hotels to stay, so i prefer ALam Kul Kul than Hard Rock hotel.

And if you want to stay in the hotels at Legian street, it'll gives you better location for you to reach everywhere than Jl. Pantai.
For there are many resto, shops, cafe and mini market. You can walk to reach them all.

But for me, i prefer to stay in Nusa Dua (near Benoa area). It has a compound of many good hotels (4-5 stars hotels) in 1 area. Conrad, Aston Bali, Swissbell Grand Bali, Hyatt Hotel, Club Med, and many other good hotels. Some of them has their own private beach access, so i think it's worthy with their price.
But of course you'll need a car or motorbike to go to everywhere, because Nusa Dua is quite far from Kuta area (where many of tourists like to hang out there).
This one for Nusa Dua hotels:
