and i think this was about my sisters boyfriend:
"I'm sorry I didn't marry a girl that I was unfaithful to numerous times after only a year of being together because I wanted the financial aid"
they have been together for about a year and a half and the other things he said im sorry
tell your sis the things you are hearing
ask her if she loves him and is happy
if yes and they did get married, just be there for her and wish her the best and help her in anyway you can
she will let your parents know when she is ready
Talk to your sister.
Hi Emily,
There is only one thing you can control here and that's your own behavior; then, there are things that you want to keep in mind as your ultimate goals: 1) you want to keep your sister as a friend and 2) you don't want to cause her pain (they're really linked, aren't they?). So you may have a burning desire to talk to your sister or to your parents, but that's not really necessary, is it? If you keep a journal, you might write in it all about what you think is going on right now so that you don't feel it's all bottled up inside. You might also think about the reasons they're unwilling or unable to reveal their commitment to the rest of the world so you can be more sympathetic and less interested in the sensational nature of things.
If your sister and her boyfriend *have* married, there's not much you or your folks can do about it so why endanger your relationship with her?
talk to your sister, ask the questions, and see what her reactions/responses are then consult your parents
it's your sister's business. if she's married she'll tell you all when she's ready. it's her life so let her live it.
Calm down, check your assumptions and then talk. You'd be looking like a fool if you talked out of line! Make sure you know one thing for sure.
I'm sure this will all work itself out and really glad you kept the secret - if there is one. Report Abuse
