if someone has had a house for awhile,,,say 20 years,, how hard would it be to sell it?
why so??
thanks for your answers!
varies by market. Where i am it looks like houses take about 100 days to sell. Thats what my realtor said and mt research confirms that. Market is depressed now so i may not sell. Also depends on how much money u want/need. Almost Every house has a price that it will sell at instantly problem is that could be less then ur mortage though unlikelt if u have had 1 mortage for 20yrs Indispensable Home Maintenance:: For other people, their home is a dream that they have worked hard for a very long period of time thus modifying the look of that house is always on top of their http://www.articlesbase.com/real-estate-articles/indispensable-home-maintenance-1181860.htmlHOME | How to Move to the Netherlands - wikiHow:: It really is a great place to live, once you have settled in, but it can be a hard Also make sure the house is in a safe area. If someone has lived in a house for 20 years, it's likely to be quite old-fashioned, as people generally make improvements soon after they move in and then leave things as they are.
My mother-in-law's house is like that. The decor is all 1970s.
However, if a house is priced right it will sell. The problem is knowing the right price. Many people ask too much for their house, not realising how the market has been falling, and still is falling. An estate agent will give a realistic price based on their knowledge of the market and local circumstances.
It's probably not worth spending a lot of time and money doing-up the house to a modern standard, as you won't get that back when it sells. Better to price it low and sell quickly.
It would depend on how you priced it. At some price it would sell very quickly. At another price it could take years.
