"Throughout the Continental U.S., Hawaii and Canada, save up to an additional 10% off sale fares to and from St. Louis when you book your tickets on AA.com. Travel this Fall and Winter to selected American Airlines and American Eagle destinations and save when you purchase your tickets online by October 31, 2001."
Sounds great? Read the fine print and notice this restriction:
"Fares are only valid for travel on AA flights 1-5999 (no codeshare flights allowed)."
There are now only three non-AA codeshare flights out of STL... on the STL-JFK route.
How can you take advantage of this sale when there are no flight which will take you to most of the destinations?

It's either a mistake or it's one hell of a bait-and-switch promo. If you're a Missouri resident, I'd email AA first to see what their response is, and if they don't change it then it's something that in my opinion is definitely worth bringing to the attention of the Attorney General. They have had these restrictions on all of their NetSAAver fares in recent memory meaning that St. Louis residents can't use any of the Net SAAver fares including ones to Europe and Hawaii.
I've written several emails and made several phone calls to AA in the past few weeks -- Platinum Desk, Customer Service, AA.com, and even to Mike Gunn. To date, I've not received any reply other than "this will be forwarded to the appropriate person".
