Instead of paying the shipping on a log that weighs about a hundred pounds why not call up a nursery that sells firewood and ask them if they have that. A local one will put it into you car's trunk and you just drive it back to your house.

Try calling a place that sells wood stoves or a landscaper. The wood stove people might have a few logs around that they use in displays. If not, they will at least give you an idea where to go for one. Landscapers use and sell logs. and might be able to fix you up.
