i quite like the guns and the rose part of it, but i think it would be a mistake to get the actual words 'guns n roses' tattooed. as much as you love the band, it's still a fad thing. at least with the picture it's still related to the band but if you went off them, it's still a nice design and you won't have the name branded on you lol. You may find that it'll be like getting a tat of 'Savoy Brown' and having everyone constantly ask you who they are your whole life. (and if you still like them when your 50 yrs. old, then I guess there will be no problem)
There is also this to consider with tattooing anyone (especially famous),
If someone had gotten a tat of O.J. Simpson, when everyone loved him in football, that person would surely be hiding it and getting a cover up or laser removal when the murders happened, and would definitely regret that decision.
Think of Michael Jackson - early Jackson = great idea .. late Jackson = not such a good idea.
You never know how things will go, so choose carefully.
