If someone books a ticket using AS miles on either AS or partner airlines (AA in particular) do the miles count towards the next year's MVP status? I'm guessing NO just like UA, but I want to be sure. Thank you.
Also, don't forget that the AS50 award tickets earn miles in the fare ticketed.

I don't think there is any programs that gives you miles for a free ticket. If there is I'd love to join it. :)
Being rerouted on an award ticket does sometime give miles.
Also, some airlines do book award seats for the elite members of their frequent flyer program into a revenue inventory that can give miles. With Alaska, this does not seem to be the case as far as I can tell.
