I know that crushing it will rupture the sack and infest my house with hundreds of the little buggers.
I can see no way to move it without possible rupturing the sack.
I was wondering would a blow torch kill all the baby spiders with no chance of escape and infestation?
If you have any suggestions supply them.
Please don't supply a solution that would require me to buy some sort of poison or something similar because I want to deal with this soon.

  • yea a blow torch will do it.

  • the blowtorch kind of seems like an overkill, a normal bic lighter should kill the contents just fine, if it is in an absolutely safe spot away from anything flammable and you really just want to have a good chuckle at fried spider eggs, go ahead and torch the bastards

  • trap the spider into a Tupperware container. wait til trash pick up day, throw the container into the trash truck. :)

  • pick it up and throw it on the ground and hit it will a baseball bat or just biff it on someone yard and the it there problem or burn it

  • I burn them, that does the job pretty well. You could also flush the thing and that would carry the sack away to the sewer. If they survived -- unlikely -- they would be outdoors where they belong.

  • scoop her up in a large container, like a convenience store cup, and put her outside.

  • Get a tissue, grab it and throw it in the trash...problem solved! So much drama for a little egg sack!

  • the egg sacs are stronger than you think.it's not likely to rupture
unless you are careless.if it's a black widow, the mother may
aggressively protect it,resulting in a bite.
a wolf spider is equally aggressive, but their bite is harmless, and no more pain full than a mosquito.
orb weavers cary sacs in their chelicerae (mouth),and are harmless.
scoop it into a small container, take it out back to a good place and dump it.

  • you can crush it. True there are a bunch of baby spiders inside, but once you crush the whole thing you crush the baby spider as well no matter how small they are.
Blow torches are fun but they can damage your property if your not careful, and there's always the risk of blowing up.
I would say get a hammer and smoosh it. Your choice.
