Do it yourself, just put tape around where you will make the cut with a saw
If you are going to go that short with your shaft....you might as well use your 3 wd off the tee. The purpose of a longer shaft is distance. Oh.....Any Pro can shorten it if that is what you really want to do. A very fine hacksaw blade will do the job ( once you have carefully removed the grip, that is.) Saw very slowly, especially when you are almost thru. Then regrip and you are done. You can do this yourself, for the cost of a grip and solvent. 43.50--to 44 .is the best if you hit the sweet spot more often it will go farther ,than new big clubs you are easier to hit than the old ones because the ball one further on missed hits that's the difference if you control the club and hit the center you be further down the fairway . cutting down the shaft of any golf club ruins the club in general. the shaft was designed for a certain reason, and changing the dimension of the golf club ruins its purpose... dont buy clubs that are too long 4 u!
You can. Go to your local Pro Shop, or Golf Store, and they will usually do it for you.
You can cut it on both ends of the shaft but I would recommend cutting the grip end...It willl not affect the flex much ..if you cut the head end of the shaft it affects the flex and swing weight quite a bit..just wrap some grip tape around where you want to cut, make your measurment and use a hack saw to cut...
