I've found that if I drink Coca Cola (even hours) after I wash my
mouth with Listerine Advanced, The sip of soda is followed by a
distinct aftertaste of sulfur. Is there something in the combination
of the two products that would cause this?
This is clearly a question for a chemist, but after 4 days, it seems
the chemists aren't helping.
So, I would add that there are people in the world whose body does
weird things in the sensory area, making them believe they smell or
taste things that aren't what they seem. I know some of them, but
have not heard this sulfur taste thing.

Well, I'm an organic chemist, and I can tell you that is a hard
question to answer without a lot of investigation. Both of those
things are a huge mixture of compounds, any of which could react to
give an aftertaste. A "taste of sulfur" could be practically
