The Only Way to Happiness: Endure Hardship, Part 1 :: Grace to You:: They slandered them for setting fires, you remember, that they were always talking about the judgment of God, that God judged by fire and so they accused http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/90-198HOME | So, my question is, why does god bless you? Is it because you go to church on Sundays or does god bless everyone regardless of whether they worship him/her. Does he also bless the less fortunate.
God blesses everyone. It is up to people in a world where there is enough food to feed and clothe everyone. The rain falls on the just and unjust. This isn't Eden we are living in.
Instead of rambling on about Sunday school and trying to make sense out of something you don't understand, why don't you be a part of the solution and volunteer for the less fortunate.
Why are you so angry?
I have been very blessed by God, and I am definitely not a good person. It could be that you just don't see a blessing when you get one. Bad things do not happen to good people according to the Bible, because the Bible says, "There is none that doeth good." So, any blessing that we receive is out of mercy.
(Rom 9:15) For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
God bless a person for the good deeds of the person.
Because He has promised to do so if we obey His word.
http://nasb.scripturetext.com/deuteronom... .
Because He loves to bless His children. If you draw closer to God, He will draw closer to you. You must make the move first, The reason there is so much suffering is not God's fault. We make certain decisions everyday that are not according to the precepts He gave us.
quote- "Please wont some Christians enlighten us? When something good happens it is a blessing from God and when something bad happens it is God's will. How convenient. "
God causes it to rain on the just and unjust. Have you ever read the story of Job, or of Joseph. In Joseph's case his own brothers did evil by selling him. God took it and turned it into him being over Egypt, the very land that God was going to use to build a nation.
I've had some terrible times in my life that I thought at the time were harsh. But looking back it's like looking at the footprints in the sand to see God directing me in the right way. I learned so many valuable lessons and learn that I would rather trust God than trust myself wondering around. Read the story of Job, it's very enlightening if you read it truly trying to understand why bad things happen to good people. But you have to answer why good things happen to bad people too.
I trust that "ALL things work together for GOOD for those that love Him".(paraphrase) God is not obligated to bless anyone that hasn't chosen Him. But sometimes he does to try and open their heart. But as a child of God I know that Satan can't touch me unless God permits it, and if He does it's for my good ultimately.
It is easy to label everything and add a "catch phrase' or "buzz word" to it to make yourself feel smarter. But, in all actuality, you are no different than that person sitting on the front porch sucking off the tit of America flashing the race card. Look deep inside yourself and find your path. We don't agree with you. O.K. You don't agree with us, O.K. I know you think you are the center of it all. You will find a time in your life when you realize just how small you are. Only then will you be open to the idea that there is something bigger than you. You are right, bad stuff happens to good people. The lessons in the bible tells us that God doesn't give us any more than we can handle. No matter how hard that stuff might be. We are here for such a short time. People are far too special to just disappear. If that is what an atheist thinks well, I pity them. I would hate to go through life thinking that this was all there was.
I have very little in life. But I have blessed assurance that when I die, my Father is waiting for me, to take me Home. That I will have a beautiful new body, I wont just be spirit, I will have a new body. And I will reign and live in Paradise. Jesus is by my side and He loves me.
He hears my prayers, intercedes for me. I am soon to be 52 years old. Time is passing quickly. I ask Jesus to help me make the best use of my time here, but please take me home soon.
God gave us life and if you believe in him and do his will (do what the bible tells us to do the bible tells what is right and what is wrong) so if you do what is the right thing to do and let god in your life he will bless you. i let him in my life and i am very thankful and blessed.
GOD BLESS
I'm not a Christian but this question is such a blessing.
Maybe those do get blessed but for some reason or another, they never noticed the blessing was there right in front of them. So they missed out. Religious and spiritual people are more aware of the subtle effect of blessings and take them at face value. Just my view.
This is a wrong perception that God blesses with worldly things only Christians.....God is a Father to all man kind and sends rain and makes the sun rise on all --Matthew 5:45.....God promised Abraham that the whole world will be blessed through his seed....and Christians as the spiritual descendants of Abraham claim that 'blessing' as their own.
God Blesses you When u Sneeze!!
He doesn't bless any ONE more than anyone else - it think maybe they take their medicine a bit better cos they've been cognitively trained to believe that 'everything is for the best' and 'it's all part of god's great plan' and all that other hocus-pocus stuff they've been sucked into believing.
I look at the available evidence and I see that haphazard mayhem happens to everyone regardless of thought or deed EXACTLY as if there was NO invisible monster up in the sky pulling the strings.
I don't have to think too deeply to realise that invisible space monkeys were made up by crafty little old men to scare and or scam peasants and small children.
Now, if fundie wants to believe in all their invisible under-the-bed or up-in-the-sky monster nonsense, so be it, BUT I will NOT pander to their banal delusions.
I will continue to have fun at their expense.

GOD blesses us not because of what we have done (we cant ever be good enough to meet his standards) or who we are (for all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD)
but instead it is because of CHRIST jesus that a holy GOD can bless his children .
what about people who don't believe in GOD?
It is written that GOD sends rain upon the just (those who are in CHRIST) and the unjust (unredeemed sinners)alike and that the oppressor and the poor man have this both in common- that GOD sends sunshine upon the heads of both.
GOD blesses us all because he is the ultimate example of forgiveness -even while hitler was slaughtering and burning millions of jews , believe it or not GOD loved him and would have given him salvation and total forgiveness if he would have turned his life and will over to GOD in CHRIST.(GOD is not willing that any should perish)
It so hard for me , for us all to understand unconditional love like that - because we aren't GOD i suppose .
its not God's fault people are starving. Its is the peoples fault. Your fault. The govt part, in the sense of it is the peoples govt who doesn't care and feed them. So don't blame God! Every time you buy a milkshake just know you could be feeding ten children.
Every time something bad happens then people realize the existence of God but only to demean him and poke fun at him.
Some one told me this the other day, "Christians, when some one quotes a verse in scripture, it is always "out of context" when you disagree with it." I said to him, "Every time some one uses a verse and its "out of context" you always agree with it." Why is it people believe in God only when they want to criticize him?
Well there's no god in the first place but when I ask people the same question they come up with the "god has a plan for them" excuse...
I asked a question about why I have a good life if I'm not a Christian and they said because the devil is doing it.
Just goes to show how some people cannot accept that they're not special.
He blesses those who listen to Him and follow whatever He asks us to do. He blesses those who stand with Him, who are dedicated to Him, not the ones who ask God for something then curse Him out if they don't get what they asked for. Blessings also come in ways you don't expect, such as going through a heart break to eventually meet someone new that is better then the person you were with. But if you're expecting a blessing to be you getting a lot of money, then you will be very disappointed. Since money is the root of all evil (because people only do things for money, not out of love) why would God give you a lot of money for? Half of the world is starving because God allows us to choose whether to do His work (like teach people how to farm to produce food) or do what most of us do (like go to work and do what our boss tells us to do, do what our laws tell us to do, not what God tells us to do) We do things that support ourselves and not others. We give money to charity, since it's easier, instead of participating in the charity itself. Then we feel good for helping, when in fact we just gave a piece of paper (money) that motivates someone else to do something, not you. Blessings are basically good things that aren't selfish, and enrich our lives, like if your parents love you and you love them, then that is a blessing from God because you are doing what God asks you to do (which is love one another) whether you realize your doing what God asks you to or not is a different thing. Because if you don't realize that you were doing what God asked you to do (like you loving your parents and they loving you) then you won't realize that you have a blessing. At the same time, people can choose to sin (which is doing something God asks you NOT to do, such as killing) and if a person sins, and kills lets say, like your parents, then that person, not God, messed up your blessing. God allows people to choose right from wrong. If we, meaning everyone here on yahoo answers, including me and you, would do more of God's works and help those people that are starving, instead of JUST voting and sitting back and letting things happen. Then God would bless all of us. The ones who starve, wouldn't starve no more (because we would teach them to farm, or put pressure on the ones that are over there to make changes happen). Those people would then develop towns and cities and be more productive. They would then contribute to new technologies and medicine which would in turn help us and them as well. That is God's blessing. Some see it, most don't unfortunately.
not like blessings require rationing- but yes, bad things happen to good people. all the time- but that is a completely different discussion.
I believe that God blesses me just because he loves me- I dont have to be a good person- I dont even have to be a Christian. still, life is hard, bad things happen, but I do recognize the blessings that I do have. Things that happen every day- even if I dont notice it- things like waking up in the morning- having people in my life... etc etc... those to me are blessings-
edit
I dont believe that bad things happening are God's will. If God's will was being done on earth, why then, in the Lord's prayer would you ask "your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven"
I am a Christian and I'm no different than anyone else. I have had both sorrow and blessings in my life. My greatest blessing has been God's love and strength that has seen me through the sorrows and bad times.
Life on this Earth does things to people. That is the way it has always been since the beginning of time. There is a verse that says, God sends "...blessings, the rain and the sunshine, on the just and the unjust..." Matt. 5:45. In short, there is no rule about this, God decides.
How people choose to deal with their good or bad fortune will play a part in shaping their character, motivating their actions, making their decisions, and in God's final judgment on us.
God blesses you when you are obedient to him.
The State of being Blessed,is being thankful for waking up this morning, for ur job,for ur kids or whatever u are thankful for. Some one didn't wake up this morning, some person (s) are less fortunate to have what u have but are blessed by what they do have.So be Blessed. Is it a blessing for u to go to church on sundays. Its a blessing for me to have that day off from work,so I can attend church.
Please wont some Christians enlighten us? When something good happens it is a blessing from God and when something bad happens it is God's will. How convenient.
