I don't know how to releive it either! I try to stretch it or rub it but it doesn't seem to do anything!
Also, if I'm just walking around in the house, at school, anywhere, my right knee will buckle and I'll sort of fall to the ground but not completely. But if my friend decided to kick the back of my knee, I'll fall. Sometimes I do fall too.
I'm 17 by the way, not old!
it sounds like your right femur is out of align. go see a message therapist, or chiropractor. about three sessions should be enough to keep it in place. your knee cap is not tracking properly either i bet. ? a simple bone/muscle adjustment should do the trick.
I have similar problems, granted I am a dancer and I've caused most of these problems for myself. However! You could be putting too much pressure on your right leg when you're standing and not realize it. Trust me when I say that you shift weight more than you think. When the tension starts to build, try to sway a bit to release it in your hips (shift weight from right to left and back). Also try walking it off a bit, testing the different directions your leg can go.
Now your knee is showing signs of weakness. You're 17, so you're growing. If you can go to a gym and do leg presses, stretch your muscles, etc. You want to build up strength in your knee so that it wont buckle the way it does. I've had this problem too.
And so you don't think I'm just an old person, I'm 18. If the pain doesn't let up, go to a doctor because it could be serious too. Good luck & feel better!
