I know that you can order the genetically engineered GFP fish. I also know that they only absorb light instead of producing it, so my question is: will these little buggers grow in the dark without a blacklight. I'm in a college dorm room and i don't really have any light fixtures to spare as blacklights (or im just lazy to make some), so will the GFP allow fish to absorb enough ultraviolet to "glow" in the dark without a blacklight? GFP absorbes in the UV spectra and emits in the visual spectra
