I want to be a model so bad, it's all I can imagine myself doing with my life. I recently thought getting a portfolio was the way to kick start my modelling career but that cost £400 and didn't get me any modelling work. I have also been i a competition like 'Miss Wales' (but it went Miss Wales, I just don't want to say where I am really from because its not safe.) I have applied to so many agency's but all of them ask for money, and I know if I get asked for money then it is a scam. Any tips on what to do or am I just not model material? Here are a few photos of me so you can judge it yourself, like do I have that unique look to me or am I just like any other normal model wannabe. Thank you for your time x

you don't have to be pretty to be a model, even though you are. when you go out, always look good. go to places where beautiful people shop. look in your local newspaper, or your british newspaper in the classified section if people are looking for model or auditions.

This is a pretty cool way to get people to look at your pictures, isn't it?
ok remember this always, the model agencies only want money whether they use you as a model or not.
but if they are certain that you could be sucessful they wont charge you a penny. if they are asking you to pay then that means they dont believe that you could be a sucess or maybe ur not what they're looking for, so if you are being asked to pay for photos or whatever, just don't do it, its not worth it
i was told this by a model director. i was scouted by her 2 months ago, but i really didnt want a model contract because i always hear about the way girls get messed about, but she told me that she was certain about me and had no intention in making me pay for anything, and i've already started doing things for Mane Street which is amazing!
but seriously if they are making you pay then don't bother, try doing model competitions and if you've got the right look you will get scouted.
i think that your not tall enough though and your look isn't quite unique but that isn't to say your not pretty, you are!

you are right about them asking for your money... you are supposed to make them money on the bookings they create for you which you'll get a cut of.
i would try lots of discovery ideas.... even consider commercial or print modeling for department store advertisements to get your start. never turn down an opportunity. send you pictures to everyone, try out for talent competitiions and such.
take some classes on how to walk like a model and such. you'll have to invest money in your future
