AA is offering miles for shipments using its AAToday same-day, door-to-door package service. Register at www.aatoday.com (http://www.aatoday.com)
1000 miles for the first shipment, 500 for every one after that.
Some downsides from looking at the website:
1. This does NOT apply to PPS (counter-to-counter) service, which I use 2-3 times per week. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
2. You must be the "expeditor", which means you a) need to set up an account, and b) can't earn miles shipping on someone else's account.

Thanks, I may not ever have anything to ship, but signed up anyway just in case I win the 50,000 AA miles.
Sorry, doc! Must've missed it the first time around.
Saw a blurb in USA Today about it, though, so I thought I'd check it out.
AAToday seems very expensive when compared to standard Priority Parcel ($62.00 for small packages), which is probably why they won't give miles for PPS. Oh, well.
Besides, AA seems to have enoug htrouble just getting PPS shipments from airport to airport (they get there...eventually). It'll be interesting to see how they do with the door-to-door stuff.
doc, SuperSlug:
I received a call today from AA telling me that I had won the 50,000 miles http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Thanks for letting us know about it!
The miles will come in use for some long trips soon!
(No, I did not ask if it counts for 1 of the 20!)
I hope to be able to find the kind of deals that you have one day for other FT'rs..
There is another sweepstakes which has just started for another 25,000 miles.
You need to register for it at www.aatoday.com. (http://www.aatoday.com.) Good Luck!
Thanks again, FT!
And thanks again, AA!
riding off in to the sunset....yeeeeehaaaaa http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
