hi. love the latest version of xbmc but its given me a problem. the fact that it now passes through 48hz audio for external decoding is a nice idea, but not so hot if you external hardware cant decode the stream its being given ..
for example, i have a sony av amp hooked up with can decode dd & dts no probs but does'nt do mpeg so this means that most of my avi's (mostly divx/xvid with a 48hz mp2/3) now playback with peacefull silence :( High-Def FAQ: Whats the Big Deal About 1080p24? - Page 4 - High-Def :: Im not sure if i get your 48hz claim at the cinema, its a piece of film they are using. theatres everyone is watching movies at 48fps and 72fps, not just http://forums.highdefdigest.com/general-discussion-both-fodeal-about-1080p24-4.htmlHOME | 6MT.net Infiniti G35/G37/GTR Community - What do you guys think of this :: It appears you have not yet registered with our community. no joke though it really did make everyone sneeze above 2/3 volume. 2004 G35c http://www.6mt.net/forum/audio-navigation/23111-what-do-yonk-amp-speaker-combo.htmlHOME |
since there is no option to enable/disable the 48hz passthrough feature i'm (and i expect others) screwed.
any chance of a switch in the next release so i dont have to use xbmp for half my stuff now ...
thanks.
you can get the source from cvs. we don't put out any builds ourselves btw, we just update cvs. at present any "release" you get is a cvs snapshot and should be considered alpha-quality software. LCD vs. Plasma TVs:: with everyone I know, may purchase a tv every 6-8 years, but not because we have no tv. Film has vertical and horozontal jitter and 48hz flicker. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/34579/94117.htmlHOME | ReClock 1.8.2.2 beta [Archive] - Page 3 - SlySoft Forum:: ReClock is not well prepared for a streaming environment I guess. i did'nt build myself. just grabbed the latest release 'xbmc-2004-03-09.rar'.
the nfo states under changes:
added: ability to passthrough any 48khz stereo audio to an external decoder
this his been fixed in cvs already since that build.
as far as i know this was implemented yesterday.
the earlier 48khz setup was just a try-out.
so i guess you made a build exectly when the test code was in.
so am i right in thinking that the current working betas are for people who are participating in the a beta program or can i grab the latest source to compile and play with?
if so, where might i grab the source from?
thanks.
ok, thanks .. i just found the cvs on sourceforge.
