Does anyone know if I need to use the 4 preceeding zeros (example 0000 007123456 7) when using my Rapid Rewards numbers with partners?
When I call SoutWest to check my balance, I am told not to enter the preceeding zeros. When I book online with Hertz and I entery my FF info, I do not know if I should include the zeros or not.
Any advice?

I rent with Hertz all the time and never give the zeros. I think one time someone said I was a couple numbers short and I told them about the zeros in front, other than that no.
I bet it has something to do with the "Darn." subsection on your agreement.

I called Southwest to check this out, as it is hard enough to get proper credit from a car rental agency. Southwest said, "DO NOT USE THE FOUR PRECCEDING ZEROS ON YOUR REPID REWARDS CARD WHEN QUOTING A NUMBER FOR CAR RENTALS OR HOTELS." Why do they have the four zeros on the card?
