My family and I are planning a trip to Punta Cana, my pediatrician told me it's fine because I will be breast feeding. On the other hand my family doctor says it's best not to go there, that I should go to Florida or Cuba instead. Can you give me your opinion on if I should go or if anyone has traveled with a 5 month old?
hale to the no! u can't control uncontrollable crying and if the baby gets sick like most around that age, it's best to be treated by your own pediatrician. if you are from, the USA, then your dr is smoking crack to tell you that cuba is the answer. they just had a nasty hurricane where a lot of people are displaced, etc...and it's not a smart idea to go to a country that the USA does not have dealings with. one slight smell of trouble and u r on your own. go to florida. the layover and customs is a MOFO in miami. unecessary stress on the baby. have fun in florida.
