Having already taken a few hops from London in the past couple of months, I thought I'd stay here in Blighty for the Summer.
However, I'm now getting itchy feet again, but find that there are no decent fares out there until the usual shoulder season opens up in September / October.
Have I missed all the offers for good fares pre-summer?

There were some great fares on AA several weeks ago right after they finally got their workers to agree to concessions, but now that it's high season, I wouldn't expect any good fare sales until the fall. there was only one real good one that i remember, and it was back in february. capacity cuts and all the people being couped up during the war means that the airlines are not doing so bad in filling the plane. i can't even get decent prices on reverse trip like in the previous summers because the euro is so strong.

You're right - I booked a trip for September when they had a sale on fares FROM the UK to the US. Fares to JFK were around £300 from 1st of September, which in my book is still high season.
I was thinking that the planes maybe wouldn't be so full in late June and early July, but I was obviously wrong...
And thanks for the tip about the BA sale. The only problem is that I'm spoiled, and like to upgrade to Biz which I can't do on BA. Also, BA coach sucks
