  • Audio for Sync Playback (aka Music Videos)::
    When we record sync dialog for a movie, it is critical that the recorded audio be able to match the played back (video or projected) picture frame for frame

    Okay... I need to synchronize the sound by modifying the audio-delay ever 3rd movie that I watch. If XBMC had a feature to loop the video for 5 seconds (a checkbox when modifying the audio settings) It would be MUCH easier to synchronize the video and audio when modifying the audio delay. I can't even do it at the moment. It takes like 10 minutes to figure out. A video gets messed up (audio out of sync with video) & I can't determine which needs the delay, the audio or the video??? I 5 second loop would fix this.
    Cakewalk Club tracks::
    Club Tracks comes with the Power FX audio loop library in a variety of electronic music Audio and video stay in sync while you record and play back .

    Move the audio-delay back-and-forth until the 5 second loop is synchronized properly.

  • Sounds like a reasonable suggestion. I also sometimes have trouble whether the audio is ahead or behind the video.

    Slightly off-topic, but I used to have much more trouble, as the wording of 'Audio Delay' had me confused for a while. Does moving to the right (positive) actually increase the 'Audio Delay', resulting in more delay for the audio, or increase the audio 'sync time', or whatever it's called. I now know that it's the second option, and always remember that, but I think the labelling could be made a little less ambiguous. I.E. 'Audio Sync' or something, that wont trick the user into thinking that by moving right you're actually increasing the audio delay.

    At this point PPro 2.0 went into an infinite loop "Indexing clip.mpeg". If CS3 causes video/audio sync issues, what good is the s/w?
