Back in the mid to late 90s when the inception of DVDs were all the rage there were whispers of having multiple versions on a single disk.
Of course we all know that just means one copy of the media and a mechanism for indicating which to play and which not to. This is video filtering.

I have a DVD player that does video filtering (www.clearplay.com). The problem is, I want all of my movies on my XBMC but I want to be able to filter some of the racier movies. Right now my only option is to watch racey movies on my external DVD player (ugh how manual!).
My enhancement suggestion is a mechanism inside the video player application that reads and follows the instructions found in a simple filter file. These filters could be created and maintained by anybody. And should indicate any of the following:

The filters are not public, you have to pay for them.
If the format is published somewhere, I'll have a look.
Is there any place I can go to search through and download EDLs that someone else has made for different movies / videos?

I think the chances of it being implemented is infinitesimal.
