Though you may find the first few times a little painful, for sure you will find yourself whipping back into shape in no time at all. Walking is also a great way to get some time alone. Ironically, some of my friends have taken on the routine of going on brisk walks with me. In fact they opt walking for exercise because I often talked about the benefits of the activity. Now I frequently find myself surrounded by others while I am completing my workout routine. Although this is me time I dont mind the company. Miles go by in a flash especially when I have someone to talk to during the journey.

For all those you are thinking about passing up the next costly workout gimmick consider walking for exercise. Its simple, there is nothing to buy (aside from a good pair of walking shoes) and the workout can be done almost anyplace. Save the gym membership and the workout machines for the winter.

Walking for exercise is the major choice during the spring and summer months. At times you may find that you are so gripped to the activity that you will continue to walk during the wintry weather! As for me, I simply undress my stepper and dust off the treadmill during the winter months. Nevertheless, I paid a handsome sum for those items. Walking for exercise is still good even on a treadmill.
