Im attempting a martial arts grading probably next year which involves 20 x 3 minutes rounds of sparring and pad work and was wondering any good exercises which would help prepare me for this grading.
Thankyou

Work your cardio. You'll need a high level of cardio conditioning to finish the 20th three minute round strong.
Also, try simulating the testing, run as many three minute cardio sessions as you can. By this I mean devise a little workout plan that consists of many cardio exercises that will work your whole body; take this plan and do it for three minutes at 100% of what you have and repeat this over and over.
Work on sparring in class, see if you can spar for extended periods of time and also get the three minute rounds you are expecting. Talk:Stress (biological) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:: widely on what stress is, and continued with correspondingly different advice. on stress may be based this would also be greatly appreciated but Wikipedias http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Stress_(medicine)HOME | Evaluating Online Sources | Ask Metafilter:: What techniques or advice would you offer to a child wanting to separate the involving critical thinking, but any help at all would be greatly appreciated. http://ask.metafilter.com/9843/rssHOME |
Good luck with your training and grading.
(Yikes.... I've never done more than 7 rounds in a test.)
Start running, riding your bike, swimming, and (of course) marathon sparring sessions. Otherwise, you'll be winded by round 3.
Biggest thing to keep your focus during this will be the cardio work you put in now. Like they say in boxing, the work you put in on the road will show up in the ring.
