This wedding would be a real joy (note sarcasim) for any photographer to try and do. First, the formals were forced to be moved to the reception hall which basically is nothing more than a community gym with a stage and kitchen. Lighting was very poor so there was a lot of shadows etc.
Then to get a place to take the pictures, the head table had to be moved allowing the backlit backdrop to be used for the formals. However, they did not move ANY of the tables in front of where the head table was, so there was only about 3 to 4 unobstructed feet to shoot in. All the best shots were being ruined by the edges of the guest dinner tables or the flowers on the tables and no-one was wanting to move those tables as well. Because I said so: June 2005:: July weekend and following week for a wedding for a college pal of Banana (my fiancee) My first choice is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20. http://mrclm.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.htmlHOME |
Now to my pictures. They are not edited other than one or two which had been cropped, a couple adjusted due to lighting and finally a quick resize for web purposes. No PS work has been done at all other than mentioned. Basically just as they were in the camera. Most of these shots were done in ISO 100, and Program Mode (basically auto everything). Truely amateur settings in every way, but I am still learning how to use my camera. Just back from Botswana - Pictures | Africa & the Middle East Forum :: d110pickup: the camera is a Pansonic Lumix FZ20. It has a Leica lens with a 12x So those terrific photos were almost all with the Panasonic digitalFZ20? http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessages.jsp?fid=4&tid=34636511&numresponses=30&start=0HOME |
As I said above, I am learning still and on that steep learning curve that comes when you go from a 35mm P&S camera to one that does have manual adjustments and a ton more features. I view criticism of my pictures here as part of my very steep learning curve. So blast away...I want to hear from you. You folks are the professionals/experienced photographers, and I look forward to all your comments. Positive, negative and undecided, comments sincerely appreciated.
