hurricane season is jun to nov so dec to april should be lovely
Personally, to me it's just about any time of year although June 1st to November 30th is hurricane season that certainly doesn't mean you will ever run into one thank goodness. If you wish, check the site below it has an almanac for every month in the year.
As they say, warmest - June to August; coldest - normally the first couple of weeks of January; hurricane season - June to November.
So Spring - March, April - is probably "best", but really any time is pretty good. (The weather's lovely at the moment.)
I've been to Cuba several times, March April July, December, each time we had fantastic weather, we only had rain once and that was in the March, it lasted for a whole day, the temperatures just got hotter after the rain, Cuba is an amazing country and the people are wonderful. April would be a good month if you are looking for heat :)
Cuba enjoys a warm, temperate climate year round with temperatures seldom dipping below 70 degrees F and rarely exceeding 87 degrees F. May through October is the rainy season and can be humid. The winter months are peak tourism season for Cuba. Hurricanes do hit Cuba from time to time and are most likely from September through October. It depends on how much heat you like. Personally I love going around September/October time. True, it's still hurricane season and unfortunately Cuba was hit badly this year. Yet that is something that has not happened in about 50 years. So the odds of it happening like that are very slim.
The summer season in Cuba is really hot and humid. It may rain with a few tropical showers that last only a few minutes in the day and that's only if it happens...or may rain for an hour around 5-6 pm or later late in the evening (especially middle of the night).
Depending where you are on the island, the temperature is a little cooler (even for the water)...some other areas like the cayos seem to be generally warmer all year round.
But really, the weather varies little between seasons in terms of temperature fluctuations, with the average temperature in Cuba being 25C. The weather can become cool and temperatures drop to about 20C sometimes, with the warmest weather in Cuba bringing temperatures of no more than 30C. The weather is warmer in the East of Cuba than the weather in the West of Cuba due to the more southerly latitude of the East of Cuba.
So basically all year round is the best time to go to Cuba. If it's 'winter' season, the nights may be a little cooler. If it's 'summer', the nights are hot and humid and you will never need a jacket or sweater ever.
Whenever you go, you actually won't be disappointed with the weather. You will always be able to enjoy the sunshine just about 365 days of the year.
Here is information on the temperature.
Have a great time in Cuba whenever you go!
